Who we are
Brightwell Global builds on a legacy of over three decades of excellence in international education. Originally founded in Silicon Valley as CFM Educational Services, the company been a trusted partner to universities and educational organizations across North America, Europe, and Asia since 1991. Throughout its history, we have developed and managed academic and professional development programs tailored to the unique needs of our students — spanning business, education, engineering, natural sciences, and more.
Now in 2025, we’re proud to continue shaping our impact and reach as Brightwell Global — marking a new chapter driven by innovation, strategic partnerships, and a bold vision for the future of educational support.
Today, Brightwell works with institutions and education providers around the world to offer specialized enrichment and academic experiences. Our flagship initiatives, including our summer programs in collaboration with UC Berkeley and Silicon Valley education leaders, continue to empower students across disciplines such as STEM, business, law, and humanities.

Hello! My name is Maria, and I'm delighted to be a part of your academic adventure.
Having graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Psychology, I've been a member of the Brightwell (formerly CFM) team since 2018, dedicated to inspiring the next generation of students. Now, overseeing our organization, I am excited to guide students through an enriching and transformative experience that will shape their futures.
At Brightwell, our programs go beyond academics. They offer students the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of the San Francisco Bay Area, while embracing the unique experience of American college life. Whether this is their first time in the U.S. or they’re returning for another adventure, I encourage our students to approach each day with curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to explore.
Alongside the entire Brightwell team, I’m here to support both students and their families as they navigate this exciting journey. With anticipation and excitement, we look forward to welcoming you to Berkeley this summer!
